Manny Pacquiao will be the first Filipino athlete to be featured in a series of special stamps that will be issued by the PhilPost (Philippine Postal Corp).

Pacquiao agreed to the proposal from PhilPost which in itself is regarded as a singular honor for an athlete who has helped restore international respect for the Philippines through boxing.

The Pacquiao vs. Diaz lightweight bout tickets, priced at $600, $400, $300, $200 and $100, will go on sale this coming Saturday, April 19, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

The Pacquiao vs. Diaz fight ticket sales are limited to 8 per person.

Penalosa vs. Vorapin

The main event dubbed as Invasion: Philippines vs. The World will feature Gerry Penalosa of the Philippines vs. Rattanachai Sor Vorapin of Thailand. Penalosa was the current holder of WBO bantamweight belt while Rattanachai was also a former holder of that belt too. Ratanachai lost to Jhonny Gonzalez and Penalosa gets the title from Gonzales.

Invasion: Philippines vs. The World

The invasion begins at Araneta Coliseum - the home to the classic “Thrilla in Manilla” between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in 1975, will once again hold a boxing event, the even is called “Invasion: Philippines vs. The World” an eight-bout event which will be held on April 6, 2008 8am Philippine time (broadcast time is 10am)

The main event will feature Gerry Peñalosa(52-6, 35 KO’s) vs. Ratanachai Sor Vorapin (71-9, 47 KO’s) of Thailand, Peñalosa will defend his title for the first time to Ratanachai Sor Vorapin. They already met in 2000 and Peñalosa won that fight via 6th round TKO.
