10 Reasons to Continue Watching the Heavyweight Division
Written by: Jasveer Singh Gill After nearly eight years without a genuinely compelling fight in the division, suddenly all eyes were once again focused on the heavyweights. Thanks to David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko, the world waited with baited breath to find out who was really the best big man on the planet. Both fighters promised a knockout, promoted the fight fantastically with their pre-fight talk and looked in fantastic shape for the biggest fight of their lives. The fight itself may have let down certain fans that anticipated a more bloody or brutal fight but instead got a standard jab to victory performance by Klitschko, although Haye’s elusiveness frustrated him a lot more then the speed or power ‘The Hayemaker’ spoke about did. The knockout never came and it turned out that Haye’s preparation was not as perfect as he had made out, citing a broken toe as a huge hindrance to him performing at his best.
